Chief Solwold has spent his entire career with the Oxford Police Department. He first started as a reserve officer in 1993, serving three years before attending the Macomb Police Academy in 1996. After graduating from the Police Academy, Officer Solwold spent just a few short months as a part-time officer before taking on the full-time D.A.R.E officer. Officer Solwold was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2002. During that time, Sergeant Solwold wore many hats. Not only was he Sergeant, he was also a field training officer, reserve program coordinator, and a firearms instructor. In February of 2017, after the former Chief officially retired, Sergeant Solwold became Interim Chief. In September of that same year, Interim Chief Solwold was officially named Chief of the Oxford Village Police.

I grew up in Rochester, MI, graduated from Rochester High School, worked at Lytle Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician and then became the bookkeeper. After 13 years working at Lytle’s I began my career at ITT Automotive in the accounting department. Received my Bachelor Degree in Business Management while working full time at ITT. I worked at ITT Automotive for 26 years in a number of different accounting areas; retiring as a Sr. Cost Accountant. I have been married to my wonderful husband since 1977 and we have two children and four grandchildren. Even though retirement is wonderful, I want to stay active and be involved in the community. I have the time, desire and energy to do just that! It is wonderful to be a part of the Oxford Chamber and to be the vice president of this dynamic board of directors.
I am an Independent BEMER Distributor and am proud to be able to share how BEMER has helped me. I am very passionate to help others. Please check out my website and then contact me for a complimentary demonstration on the BEMER or if you have any questions about the Oxford Chamber.
