Christmas Parade & Bridge lighting

Parade Entry Information:

  • Check-in starts at 12:00 PM at the blue Chamber tent at the First Baptist Church (150 Pontiac Street). First come first serve for lining up.

  • Line up promptly at 12:30 PM.  All members of your group MUST be present in order to be allowed to line up.  You can meet at Oxford Elementary School parking lot until you are all present and come line up as a group.

  • Parade begins at 1 PM. Due to M24 road closures we will not be able to hold the parade for any late arrivals.

  • 2023 Parade theme is "Frosty's Winter Wonderland".

  • Parade map will be available on the Chamber's website and emailed to registered participants prior to the parade.  The route is approximately 1 mile.

  • Dress appropriately for the weather!  The parade happens rain, snow, or sunshine!

  • Alcoholic beverages are NOT allowed.

  • The parade committee reserves the right to refuse any entry.

  • All entries with animals MUST provide their own clean up.  This is MANDATORY and your entry will not be allowed to participate if you fail adhere to this rule.

  • Candy CANNOT be thrown.  If you would like to hand out candy you may have walkers with your entry hand it to observers of the parade.

  • NO LIVE SANTAS ALLOWED ON YOUR FLOAT.

  • Please be aware that with the addition of three (3) Pedestrian Refuge Islands (medians) on M-24, we are asking floats/participants to stay on the east (right) side of northbound M-24.  Also, plan your float/group to be no more than two (2) lanes wide (approximately 20 feet).
